STUTTGART, Germany (AP) - Hungary striker Barnabas Varga was hospitalized in stable condition Saturday after being carried off on a stretcher following a mid-air clash with Scotland goalkeeper David Marshall during the second half of their Euro 2024 group game.

The incident occurred in the 65th minute of the match in Stuttgart, Germany, when Varga attempted to head the ball past Marshall, who was attempting to clear it. Varga's head collided with Marshall's knee, and he fell to the ground unconscious.
